Boma Tonye Oburoh mostly known as “Tonye” is a registered UK independent prescriber clinical pharmacist with a special interest in diabetes and hypertension management and the founder of Diabetes Consults. Tonye graduated from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom and is a member of the General Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (GPHC). She is vastly experienced working in hospital settings both within the National Health Service (NHS) and the private sector and has chaired and also spoken on the Diabetes UK platform and hosts other health related events. She was motivated to start Diabetes Consults after her mother died due to an inadequate management of her mother’s sub-optimal blood pressure and glucose levels from the hands of a generalist who could not offer her the the help she needed but rather led to complications which became fatal. Due to this trauma she has dedicated herself to helping people living with diabetes. She believes in affecting one life at a time.
