Azra Ismail

Azra is the Co-Founder of MakerGhat, a non-profit organization based in India with the mission of developing a sense of agency and confidence among youth through hands-on making. Azra is also a PhD candidate in Human-Centered Computing (with a focus on gender, wellbeing, and global development) at Georgia Tech. She completed her undergraduate in computer engineering from Georgia Tech where she was a prototyping instructor at The Hive makerspace. She has previously worked with the Wadhwani institute for Artificial Intelligence, and Philips Research North America.
