Kazi Nasrin Siddiqa has worked for 20 years to promote gender equity and access to quality education in Bangladesh. She is the founder and Executive Director of the NGO named Education & Cultural Society (ECS). Besides, she works as the Consultant of the World Bank in Education Global Practice, South Asia. Nasrin is an alumnus of the State Department of International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP). As an Echidna Global Scholar, she had conducted policy research on STEM for girls with the Brookings Institution, USA. Nasrin launched a flagship project to expand access to STEM education opportunities as the pioneer. Nasrin with her NGO established hundreds of STEM clubs in rural Bangladeshi schools and trained nearly 1,000 teachers. She was awarded the ‘Alumni Excellence Award’ from the US Department of State. Nasrin holds master’s degrees in Japanese Studies and Botany from the University of Dhaka. She is conducting her Ph.D. in Applied Science on STEM at Parul University, India.
