Anupama Sarma

Anupama. Director at Prayojana, is passionate about making a difference in the lives of senior citizens. Her concern over the welfare of her parents and in-laws who were living in India, while she was abroad led her to Prayojana. Prayojana believes it is more about adding life to your years than years to your life, and that it is important to give elders moments to look forward to! Prayojana provides local support to senior citizens who live away from their children, and gives their children a way to support their parents.

Anupama is a BITSian with graduate degrees from Clemson University & University of Pittsburgh. She has varied experience in academia and the corporate sector, having handled research, software development, business technology, and client-vendor relationships. After living in Pittsburgh and the San Francisco bay area, she moved back to Chennai a few years ago.

Anupama is an outdoor enthusiast and certified yoga teacher, who loves yoga, traveling & hiking with her family, especially in the mountains!
