Ameeta Roy

Ameeta Roy is the Senior Director, Solutions Architecture for Red Hat in India/ South Asia driving technology leadership with several clients on their digital transformation journeys with the power of Open Source Technologies from Red Hat.

Prior to Red Hat, Ameeta Roy led the Solution Consulting teams for SaaS Cloud Applications at Oracle India working with several clients on the digital transformation of all aspects of their business including Finance, Supply Chain management, Enterprise Performance Management, Human Capital Management and Customer Experience creating superlative experiences for employees and clients alike.

Ameeta has also spent several years at IBM in client facing roles where she has helped clients architect, design, build and troubleshoot software systems, besides participating in Strategic Technology initiatives shaping business directions. In her last role at IBM she was leading the Technical Sales and Services teams across IBM’s Software Portfolio of Analytics, IoT, Commerce, Security, Cloud, Middleware and Industry Solutions

She has won a number of awards over her career including the the Global IBM Rational ‘Strategy in Motion’ award and the prestigious IT Specialist Profession Excellence award at the IBM Technical Leadership Exchange, Anaheim. Ameeta has been a key presenter at several public forums . She has been a part of the organising committee and a presenter for Grace Hopper Conference for Women in Computing in India and was in the first cohort of IIM Bangalore's Tanmatra programme for Women in Leadership. She holds a Masters in Information Systems and executive leadership certificate from Cornell University.She has over her career spanning over two decades, seen the key shifts in technology that have disrupted the world and this has kept her excited about her work and the possibilities of a world run by technology, leaving the human mind to pursuits that are uniquely human. Ameeta enjoys reading , traveling and motor-sports and was the co-driver / navigator for her "rallyist" husband for many years on the Indian National rallying scene! The experience has taught her some early leadership lessons around risk-taking, focus, team work, effective communication and playing to win, that have held her in good stead in her career.
