It won the National Water Mission Award 2019 from Jal Shakthi Ministry for Citizen and State Action for Conservation, Augmentation and Preservation of Traditional Water Body and EGA award for UN Sustainability Goals 2020. It has been identified as a model lake and visited by Bureaucrats, researchers, Journalists and Students every year. As a Social Initiator work with jakkur community on a holistic community development model which is empowering the community to enrich itself through Citizen/Community participation. As part of Satya Sports Village work on promoting nature based programmes in Corporates and Schools to bring people closer to Nature and encourage them to preserve their Natural Heritage.
